The textbook begins with a review of the history of pharmacy profession in India in relation to education, career and different Pharmacopoeias. Next chapter is about prescription, posology and various pharmaceuticals dosage forms. Other chapters are about solid, liquid and gaseous formulations including packaging specifications and their quality control. Concepts in these chapters are important not only for understanding a drug formulation but also for providing the scientific basis for rational excipients selection. This book is written with very easy language in English as well as Hindi. The textbook second part includes practical exercises where a student could apply his or her theoretical concepts to real practical situations.
